Sitting around 9,000 feet in a fairly dense aspen and pine forest, up a well maintained gravel road is this gem of a site. If alpine forests are your thing, this is a must see. This spot was awesome. It was wooded and quiet. The sites around us were blocked by the trees so it is very private. The view of the North Rim was worth the price of admission. Absolutely beautiful. Hard to believe this is a free place to tent/camp/boondock. It’s close to the North Rim entrance to Grand Canyon NP, about 4 miles from the junction or turn off to 611.
