Picked up what we could with the bags we had, but the problem is bad, although isolated to a few sites. The campground/sites don’t show up on apple maps, and neither does the turn off. When push came to shove and other nearby campgrounds were full, we swung by here and had the place to ourselves. Great little spot if you need a site for the night. Bring some extra trash bags…

We didn't even pull into the camping area since the road was washed out and not passable for our Q5/R-Pod combo. Just leaving a note here so others know what to expect.

I can understand some of the rougher reviews for this place because it's definitely far from "glamping" status. It's far off some fun back mountain roads and has a pretty rocky entrance. It's not very well marked and I would definitely never bring anything other than a trusty SUV down those paths, but once you're there, there are beautiful and amazingly scenic camp sites that offer pretty comfortable spots. This is definitely the rougher side of camping with no toilets and I will admit we did have a bit of altitude sickness, but we are from Michigan.

We tent camped and there was no way we would have taken an rv, motorbike or tiny car down these roads. Only bad part for us was the altitude sickness....headaches, nausea, very easily tired out and hard to breathe. Also road not noticibly marked so pay attention and lots of dead ends u may have to back out of.

Pros: good overnight stop. Peaceful, quite, private, little to no road noise
Cons: Not even a trash can. This is jeep trail type site. Very rocky, steep grades, very narrow roads. Lots of shooting goes on here (shell casings everywhere) Very high altitude (above 9000ft) makes it hard to breath.
I would advise tents only.
