Stayed here for 2 nights in our 34’ 5th wheel to visit GC…parked about 1/2 mile down the road (a few dips) due to the first few sites being occupied. Ground was dry and dusty in mid-April. Our site had a large fire pit and remnants of Elk hunting 😝
Verizon was 1-2 bars in our site.

Lots of great spots on this road. Plenty of big rig friendly spaces. Within 5 minutes to Grand Canyon.
Some off road vehicles up and down the road, but we don't mind that.
We took our ebikes up and down the road and a few side trails.
At&t service was spotty, best in the early mornings and late night.

We got a nice pull in spot about 1/2 mile on the left. It was very quite and close to Grand Canyon NP. Easy to find, brown signs mark the fire roads along route 64.
Cell signal was good

Great site 15 mins from NP entrance. Relatively easy access using 2WD on a dry day. A little dirty- the previous campers didn’t clean up well, but the site was super quiet. Only saw a few other campers on a Saturday night. In the morning we saw 4 wild horses come right by our tent!

Great place and quiet. This was a second choice to stay at because the first choice had snow and mud making the roads look a little risky. Glad we decided to stay here. Plenty of places to camp. Was a little cool in February with nightly temps hitting 15 degrees.

Did not arrive until 3pm on a Saturday. Most of the spots were taken. Some were occupied by large groups with 4-5 RVs and large tents. Looked like a pretty good party. It was still nice to find a free secluded camping spot near Grand Canyon on a weekend.

We pulled off on 306 and drove around awhile before we found our perfect spot. We only saw one truck pass by our campsite the whole time we were there. You are only about 10 minutes from the grocery store and maybe 15 minutes from the park entry. At night you could hear the coyotes howling and see so many stars. The wood was a plenty out there just walk around and pick it up. If you don’t wanna see someone and have the spot to yourself come here. If you want electric and running water don’t even think about it. Just down the road at camp x or something they have potable water hookups with cold water.

Do you ever have spots that you almost don't want to tell others about because they are so great? That's how we feel about NF-306. There are tons of spots for big rigs, or for those of us who like to pull through. It is a 5 minute drive from town, about 8 min from the Grand Canyon South Rim gate.
