We were trying to find this dispersed camping spot and totally missed the turn, but we are so glad we did, because we found a better area just a short drive down the road from this spot. The sites are probably accessible with a 2WD vehicle driving carefully. The established loops felt really private and nice to stay in. Unfortunately the sites were extremely trashy so please bring an extra trash bag or two to help clean up the lingering mess (we tried to pack out some trash but didn't have enough supplies to pack out m... more

Lots of choices for sites. Cooler temps than Cortez. Boggy Draw mountain bike system right there. Chilled vibe. Towns of Dolores, Cortez & Mancos are friendly with great breweries and food as well as groceries, laundry, water and nightlife.
