Close to flag, endless places to camp.
No one patrolling long term camping.
Walmart 15 minutes away.
Can be clicky with large groups summering together.
Good cell
Good air t.v.
Coolish summer temps 7000 feet.

No designated campsites, but lots of areas to camp, dirt with lots of pine needles, so the dust wasn't bad. Nice and quiet. We stopped for a one night. Very clean, lots of trees, but you need to navigate between them. We didn't have a problem in a truck camper, but long rigs might have a challenging time. Mostly flat and a few with homemade rock fire pits. The road in was flat but a little washboard. If you drive slow, not so bad. We were there in early November, and it got very cold. We woke up to 15 degrees, but we have a heater and it worked great! There were only a few campers there. No host, services, water or toilets. We did have good cell service however.

Easy to get to and enough RVs to make you feel safe yet not crowded. We passed Flagstaff and saw many RVs parked along the roads. So we drove on and got here following Compendium reviews. You can choose to park in the open or under shades. Pretty level and minimal setup. Would definitely come back if in this area.

Tons of people in the area. Quiet and no issues. No trash that I found. Will gladly come back here. Probably going to avoid the area on holidays though. Weather was great. Easy drive to get to the spots. Clean up after yourself, put out your fires out and there should be no issues.

This is beautiful and easily accessible. But the red dust was horrendous. No one else mentioned shooting so I will- there was alot of that as well.

It's not just the dust for me, but also the noise and the fact that there are free roaming cows that they should probably be watching out for. There's also some Logging operations going on so the trucks up and down all day long. The sites are large and spread out. I have great Starlink here and as long as the sun's out, the solar is great.
I know that there's a few other spaces around. So I may or may not Stay here again.

I am new to dispersed camping so I was a bit sceptical on the first mile or so in so I unhooked the jeep drove down a couple miles past the permanent looking homeless camps but then the road got great and there were a lot of big level camps. My rig is a 38’ supe C and it was easy to find a big open spot. Law enforcement drove by once so you feel safe. It is beautiful and I will do it again.
There is a bit of traffic on the main road not sure where they are going but 4 vehicles in 4 hours not bad. Cell goes from 1-2 bars

As the other reviews state, it is open and it’s easy access. There are plenty of nice spots. Great fresh air. The only downside is the road is in pretty good shape and that allows some drivers to fly down the road and create dust. Nevertheless, I would stay here again.

You really can’t ask for better boondocking. Easy access to I40 and a great gas station for essentials. Follow directions from others and go through construction to find paved road with lots of sites. Pretty busy around July 4th and a fire van, but we enjoyed an evening in the pines and will definitely revisit.
