The area is easy to get to and has a nicely maintained dirt road up to the sites. Every site is literally a pull off spot along the dirt road so there is barely any privacy. The area is heavily travelled on the weekends with fellow campers, hikers, and people headed to the Meadow Creek Reservoir. If you are a tent camper, you can hike a bit further into the trees for some decent clear areas that are off the road. We were able to pull our 30 ft trailer all the way up t0 the snowmobile parking lot to ensure we could turn around to get back down. We ended up finding a spot to stay for 2 nights, but were met by a nice man who said a lot of the area is private and camping is not allowed since it owned by the ranch. So Beware if you camp where you are at since there are no signs. Area worked for us since we didn't know where else to go and did not want to pay for a site, but is not something we would go back to especially with a large trailer.

FR 129 just outside of Tabernash and Fraser, leads towards Meadow Creek Reservoir. Prior to ascending from the valley there are approximately 8 dispersed sites along the creek leaving the reservoir. All the sites are located on the creekside of the road and just steps away from the water.
FR 129 becomes two lane dirt prior to entering the National forest property. It is well maintained and seemed to be recently graded. Upon entering the National forest there is a parking lot with signage which would allow one to leave a trailer for scouting ahead.
Most of the sites along the creek would accommodate a 30ft travel trailer and possibly larger. High clearance is not required as the road is very smooth.
The final sites in an oval pull out, are across a one lane bridge. The bridge is wide enough for an RV to cross and past the bridge one may turn around with a 30ft rig.
We found between 1 and 2 bars of Verizon 4G in the area of the creek valley. As you ascend towards Meadow Creek Reservoir there is no Verizon signal.
FR129 has many hiking opportunities along it's length and is also used for OHVs and mountain biking. Fishing is also popular at Meadow Creek Reservoir, but note that it is a Fee area.
Loving Every Mile would stay here again
