Forest Lake Campground

Pretty lake with sites on the water mostly seasonal very friendly campers would come back

Not a great a place for short stay. Our site was very tiny. On the weekend we were on top of our neighbors. The site was dirt and could have been muddy if weather had been wet. The beach is dirt. Nice spot if you want to kayak or have a boat. Lots of long term folks with assorted shabby outbuildings and sheds, sometimes rotting pallets or other debris. Sites aren’t raked after departure and our had a dead and dried up bat on it. Noisy, plenty of barking dogs. On the weekend, drunk neighbor (on top of us) arguing with family, then loud country music after quiet hours — staff spoke to him but after they left he continued awhile. Picnic tables are in poor condition, some rotting. Checks in advance only, no cards. Getting in was puzzling and required a great home call. Did not use restrooms or laundry so cannot comment.
