“Damaged our tow hitch - RV lanes”

If you're driving a large Class A do not use the left hand RV lane if you have a TOAD. The downward slope of the street combined with the upward slope of the entrance into the RV lane results in your tow bar bottoming out. Ours dragged so severely it bent the steel channel supports where our hitch bolts to the RV chassis. The entrance ... more
If you're driving a large Class A do not use the left hand RV lane if you have a TOAD. The downward slope of the street combined with the upward slope of the entrance into the RV lane results in your tow bar bottoming out. Ours dragged so severely it bent the steel channel supports where our hitch bolts to the RV chassis. The entrance to this lane is narrow with curbs on both sides which precludes entering at an angle to prevent bottoming out. We spoke to Flying J corporate and were informed that it was within specifications and therefore they would not pay for the damages and would do nothing to the entrance to improve the situation. If you must use this Flying J, use the right RV lane.
