Arrived at 12pm on a Monday in mid-August and nearly had my pick of sites. Most sites are designed for tents or small trailers - this isn't somewhere to bring a big rig, but my 21' trailer fit nicely in site 5. The campground was never full.
Verizon does not work at all in the campground. It tells you there is 4G, but it is un-useable during the day, even with a more powerful rooftop antenna (didn't try with a signal booster). Oddly it starts working reasonably well in the middle of the night (after 11:30pm).
Starlink is a no-go as the trees are much too thick here.
Note that Google Maps will incorrectly tell you to turn into the one-way exit. Instead, keep going down Elk Valley Road another few hundred feet and turn left at the Florence Keller Park sign, then turn left again a short distance down the road to enter the campground.

I backed my 24 ft bus into a spot…tight but quite doable. There were only a few spots that could accommodate larger rigs . There was lots of open spots available
Beautiful, reminded me of UC Santa Cruz days

Campsite is clean. Has water flushing toilets and sinks. Not big rig friendly. Only 1 campsite had electric/water hook ups. All campsites have nice benches and fire pits. Was quite for us. Not busy at all.
$20/night. First come first serve.
Had 1 bar T-Mobile 5G. Turned on Weeboost and got 2-3 bars.
This is a hidden secret for sure!

There was one power site, The rest are dry camping with fire rings and tables. There is a nice nature trail that runs through the park and a jungle gym in the day use for the kiddos. Bathrooms on site, no trash or water that I’m aware of. Site can accommodate larger vehicles but driving in the road are narrow and could prove to be a task, we saw a couple 5th wheels in the park while we were there. Site 20 was really open to the parking lot for day use so not much privacy and the driveway was a bit short, we fit with a 20ft van.

The spots are small and some areas are tight to maneuver even in our 22 ft van. Don’t recommend if you have a pull behind. It is first come, first serve but we had no issue finding a spot. Self pay in the area across from the camp host. There is also firewood for sale should you want any. $10 a bundle when we were there. We would definitely stay here again!

There was construction going on to one side of the park by an outside company, which seemed like it would be disturbing if you camped on that side, but where we were was very quiet. There’s a nice playground for kids. The large trees provided great scenery and beautiful smells. Picnic tables and fire rings were in great shape. Very close to Redwood National Park.
We really enjoyed this spot.
