The pad was gravel but relatively level. There is quite a tight turn to get into the campsite and quite a few of the sites are on a hill. Not to say they are unlevel but some of the turns are steep and sharp.
The bathrooms are clean but old. There is a newer handicapped bathroom that is in a separate building. All the sites on the water had brand new picnic tables which was a nice change.
There is only one short hiking trail behind the campsite on this side of the lake. Most were on the opposite side.
The lake can be noisy when the boats and jet skis are out. Were were there in late April so I imagine not a lot of activity yet.
Many of the sites were empty also a this time of the year.
This is a very large lake and if you are willing to drive a bit, there are some awesome sites. The Dam at Wolf creek and the fish hatchery were fun to visit. We also visited Natural Arch Scenic Area which is awesome if you take the trail to it.

Nice and quiet, close to town, so the wife goes shopping with out burning a lot of gas. Nice boat ramp if you bring a boat, but the campsites have limited parking. Park is well managed by Gene and his wife, with clean restrooms. Campground is a great place to just wind down and relax.

Main bath and shower house was immaculate. There is a handicap bath/shower building where the shower has less water flow and wasn't quite warm enough.
Note to cyclists: Somerset isn't bike friendly. Narrow roads, no shoulder in most places.
We moved to a waterfront site (16) after the weekend crowd left. It was lovely, but we filled a large trash bag with trash previous campers had thrown over the rail. C'mon, people.
The staff we dealt with were quiet, not terribly visible, but very competent when asked for help.

First time staying here and we liked the spaciousness between sites and mature trees which provide good shade for most sites.
Clean Shower and bathrooms. Washer and dryer available. Sites are electric and water. I think all sites are 50,40,20 amp. Dump station available. Handicap accessibility.
