Camping is free. Fish lake is really out in the middle of nowhere. Nearest towns with any real stores are Tonopah or Hawthorne. We stayed overnight on our way through from hwy 50 to Benton Hot Springs.
Closest area to buy food is Tonopah Nevada. Those grocery stores have normal business hours though so don’t get there too late. It does not cost anything to camp around the Hot Springs
