Great boondocking spots for all size rigs with fairly level site where we camped before FR71 split. From the I40 Exit 163...take Hwy 64 and get ready to turn right onto Garland Prairie Road (not marked) after marker 186 in about 1/2 mile. Main road Fire Road 108 is easy to navigate for any size. Go about one mile in from Hwy 64 and there is an open prairie area with plenty of spots. Going further, at FR 71, the road splits and is rutted and rougher. Nearby Williams has water available at Exit 161 or juist take hwy 64 straight into Williams. Just go into town (do not stop at the Shell station) and there is a 76 station, next to the Safeway, that sells water at an easy to park next to well head for $.10 per gallon. Cost me $2.86 to fill my 30 gallon bladder not quite full There is a Safeway in nearby Williams next to the aforementioned 767 Gas Station. Plenty of fast-food places and overall, a fun place to stay. Keep an eye on the weather as wet weather is not in the cards for staying here. The roads get very muddy and are really soft. Some road noise if you stay next to Hwy 64 but where we were, it was not noticeable but dim noise from trains in the distance.. Access to South rim of the Grand Canyon from this location

This site was very level too. First for me when boondocking. The terrain is a bit rocky but overall a great spot.

Got here in the dark and in a thunderstorm. Light rain when we started to set up turned into heavy. Although barely any winds. Heard coyotes all night long in the distance, did not hear the Highway at all. Great single night camping spot off 40.

I like the open areas of this location, Great for solar, Enough vegetation to hide, My spot is: 35.20641, -112.2696 Along same road as others noted, but closer to I40. A little road noise--not bad. Verizon signal: 56.6 down, 4.36 up Mbps. This is on a Wednesday morning. I've been here on a Saturday morning and the signal is almost unusable which I figure due to being close to Williams--a very popular and crowded tourist vacation spot. 6650 ft. Comfortable even mid-summer.

Available sites begin 2 miles down rough road with a narrow bridge you must go over. Close brushes and ALLOT of sand and large rocks to go over/through. So many no camping signs and blocked off sites. Views nice but the dust and rough road make getting to an open site less desirable.

Dirt road access, but well graded and flat. Probably two dozen or so easy access sites. Some ATVs during the day, but quiet at night. Mostly pine-covered. Decent Verizon coverage.
