“Smelly, relentless black flies, mosquitos, wasps, giant biting ants. ”

It’s a beautiful place, lots of different birds, but too many flies that will not be deterred no matter how hard we tried: We used the propane mosquito repellent continuously as well as doused ourselves in 98% deet. Also used an electric fly zapper , but the flies here are relentless. Maybe try a different season, but forget it during the Summer months. A real pity. And it’s quite smelly as well. There are several toilet buildings so there’s usually a smelly whaft around.

“Beautiful BUT Noisy and Stinky”

The location is beautiful. Plenty of shade! Campsites are well maintained with a fire ring and picnic table. Some spots have spigots of water. There are trash bins by the exit. Only $10 a night, cash only by the entrance/exit.

Easy to get to!!! Well maintained roads!

BUT

There are no rangers patrolling the area. Some people are rude and inconsiderate. Very Loud. The pit toilets do need to be cleaned. Smells god awful.

Please note: there are wasps here that extremely aggressive, so if you are allergic please be aware of this.

Lots of flies, which I imagine are from these pit toilets not being cleaned out regularly.
