The road into the Brush Creek area campsites is a two lane gravel base road that is treated for dust. It was well maintained and not washboard. It has gentle slopes and is busy during the hiking and biking season. There are multiple trailheads in the area. You will see bikes along the length of the road, and tons of prairie dogs as well. There is a working cattle ranch on the road so be aware that road blockages by trailers can occur.

Once you cross East River past the Brush Creek Trailhead you will enter the private property of Lasy F Bar Ranch. The road will curve around the valley turning north. Just past the ranch buildings there is a sharp fork to the right which climbs Strand Hill.
Follow Strand Hill Road to the first intersection and keep right again. Follow the road along Ferris Creek about 2.3 miles from the Strand Hill Road intersection to the site. The site will be after the road turns up from the creek entering a large stand of aspen and spruce.
There is no cellular coverage in this area.
