Overnight bicyclist and hikers are welcome. Showers and toilets are available to paying patrons and controlled by code locks on doors. The picnic table at our site was melted by a careless camper placing a grill on it. This was our base camp for riding the trails.

We had high hopes for this location. The employee I spoke to a few times, Gloria, was wonderful. She seemed like a grandma that would bring by chicken with dumplin's and a pecan pie just because.
Site #4 was our site and it appeared to be the least kept site. Grass growing through the gravel and a little ditch on either site of the entry to the site. There was also an abandoned trailer between us and the next site. The other 7 sites were in much better shape. The road in front of the sites is a fairly traveled road with alot of non-camping traffic. Several police traveled by but they seemed to be heading somewhere, not patroling.
Wife and I loved the town
Kid liked the playgrounds
I enjoyed the ease of reserving a site and Gloria
45% chance of going back.

Stay here in July 2017. If you want to walk / bike the Katy or Rock Island Trail, this is a GREAT Little town to stay in. Campground is across the street from the City of Windsor Park and Lake. Electric, water, and sewer. Newer shower house / restroom. Roads getting to Windsor are not the greatest, but it's worth the drive. The only reason I didn't give this campground 5 stars is it's out of the way and the roads are rough getting there.
