We stayed here September, 2019 and loved it! We were traveling with friends so grabbed a double site and got our Rpods set up facing each other. This place is simply gorgeous! The river is fast moving at the top of the campground and is insanely beautiful - slower moving as it gets out of the narrow rocky area and gets more in the flats. There is a nice walk to the viewing area of The Rogue River Gorge south of the campground. The camp host was super nice - told us where to watch for otters and osprey - sadly we saw neither... a reason to return. This was absolutely one of our favorite campgrounds ever!

My toy hauler is 39’ long. I had enough room to open the ramp to use as a patio. There was plenty of room for the family to be comfortable, and the Rogue River was jus feet beyond the campsite. We woke up to the sounds of the river. How wonderful!
Highway 62, which turns off just north of the campground to go to Crater Lake was very close by. Yes I could hear the sounds of the traffic during the day, but the sound of the river makes you forget about that.
There are many attractions close to this campground, with Crater Lake being only about 25 miles away. There is fishing, hiking, waterfalls, hiking, and more. Oregon is really beautiful! There is no cell service here, so no excuses to not enjoy nature.
We got lucky with the camp hosts. They were from Texas and very friendly and hospitable. The only downside that I saw is that, for a campground with 61 sites, there was only the one couple as campground hosts. It seems to me that was way too much for two people to handle.
Overall, I am already making plans to camp here again next year. I’m going to reserve the same two spots as soon as th reservations are opened up for next year.

It had been raining for a few days so the roadway had a lot of wet debris on it making your shoes very wet when walking and your Rv wheels very dirty. This is meant to be a very minor complaint.

We absolutely loved this campground. The site is a shared community site that we had apprehensions about, but our neighbors were great. From the site you felt as you were almost alone in the forest. The adjoining sites were cloaked behind numerous trees that gave the impression of privacy. Our site was right on the river and the sound of the rushing river was so relaxing. We didn't bring the kids on this trip but they would have loved the play area in the middle of the campground. We are planning to visit this campground again next year, possibly with our neighbors we met this year.

We stayed one night on our way to Crater Lake. Clean bathrooms, nice laundry. Gravel sites. RVs way too close to each other! We could not even put our awning out all the way. Apparently our neighbors did not know the meaning of quiet time till about 2am! Wifi - well good luck with that.

Nice campground, clean and well kept.
However, no cell phone signal, no hook ups, no dump station, no water hook ups. Basically, dry camping. Water is available but not that you can hook a hose to, at least what we found.
And it's right at the the junction to head to Crater Lake.

We were traveling with friends and snagged a double site right on the Rogue River. The RV length restriction indicates 40 feet but we were able to get our 45 foot motorhome in. Part of the reason is where the site was located which was right at the first intersection next to the camp host. We wouldn't have made it around the loop due to tight corners and overhanging trees. The double sites are close together (only one of us could extend our awning) but the "yard" is huge. I mean huge! Nice firepit and we had our own "private" rocks on the Rogue River. Be aware that the water is frigid! We were lucky enough to be there for a free fishing weekend and had a blast catching trout. There are no hookups or WII FI and no cell coverage. We found the best place to get connected was at the library in Prospect. They have free and very good WII FI, and cell phone service is available here. There were lots of bugs when we were there but it seems seasonal. Some road noise but quiet at night. Some sites are noisier than others. Tons of sightseeing in the area. We will definitely return.
