Pulled in after dark. We had the place to ourselves. Even in the winter off-season, the outhouse was immaculate and well-stocked. No water or garbage. Enjoyed walking our lab in the river bottomland. Excellent boondocking site.

Big campsites equivalent to National Forest campsites in quality. Clean and well stocked privy. Picnic tables. Level sites and good soil for tent stakes. Easy highway access on good roads. Railroad heard in distance.

30 foot class A towing and no problem in and out. Short gravel, well packed road. We stayed at the first spot in the camping area. If you go further down the road to the boat ramp there are a couple of sites as well. There are fire rings and picnic benches. Great spot!

40 foot 5 th wheel, a lot of room to maneuver in the first site.
Some sites less level but workable
Gravel roads last mile
Overall a great boondocking site.

This place is awesome if you like to boondock. Right on the edge of a lake and free. Pretty amazing. We are 40ft long 5th wheel, our tow vehicle, another car, and had more than enough room. We are 40ft long 5th wheel, our tow vehicle, another car, and had more than enough room. Friends came with a massive provost and got in great as well. This place can take almost any size unit and looks like it would be easy to get into even when it rains. The roads are all gravel but very hard packed. There is a train near, but not often, and didn't bother us. In the late afternoon and evening, the bugs did come out but seemed to go away when the sunset. There are fire rings at each site, you need to haul out what you bring in there is not a dumpster or running water. Also no dump station.

We stayed here in our 40ft RV and tow vehicle. The first site was open so we took it. There is fish in the small pond here, the kids enjoyed catching sunnys.

Well-kept; some highway noise. Easy to find. Wasn’t crazy about the cul-de-sac layout of the rear loop... I like a bit more visibility at my campsites.

Lovely spot! We were only here briefly but found it well maintained, and fairly quiet (you could barely hear I94 traffic in the distance and there was a train somewhere nearby) Very easy to find, amazing stargazing if you happen to be here on a clear night, and just about the cleanest pit toilet I ever did see 👌🏻

We stayed here on our way from Yellowstone to Mt Rushmore on 6/24/19. The campground is about 2.25 miles from I94 on well-maintained gravel roads with well-marked signage. The sites were all well maintained and at least two of them were large enough to accommodate a class A rig. There are actually two parts to this site/campground, one part is the river access with no campsites and the other is the camping area. Some of the camping sites have a great view of the oxbow lake and there is even a horseshoe pit! During our visit, we were the only ones in the campground which made for a wonderful relaxing evening stargazing. As a bonus, the site has a plaque telling about how this was one one of the last meeting places for General Custer.
Would definitely recommend this site for anyone passing through the area.

Cute small campground with pit toilet available. No water. Beautiful view of the stars and symphony of creatures during entire stay. Stayed in late May and it was a bit muddy but still fine for tenting.
