“Peaceful Stay Along the Snake”

Overall Rating

My nightly fee reflects the Senior Interagency Pass discount.

Nice level site in this National Forest campground with gravel roads, clean and well maintained vault toilets. Make sure you stop at one of the hydrants to fill your RV fresh water. No frills at the site, however a nice newer table and fire ring. The host was exceptional, very friendly and accommodating.

I used this camp as my home camp for visiting the Grand Tetons and the Jackson Hole, Victor-Dillon area.

Road off the highway was gravel and in pretty good shape. A little intimidating for pulling a 32' fifth wheel, but arrived and departed with no issues. I used Google to get me here and it was reasonably close.

“Wooded area, sites spaced out”

Reviewed Aug 10, 2015

Overall Rating

We stayed here in August 2014 one night. We were aiming for Pine Creek Campground (closer to Teton Valley) but it was getting too late. We managed to locate the turnoff and campground in darkness. Road was grated and suitable for a passenger car. Very level graveled pads, new picnic tables, clean newer bathrooms. We only had a tent and the site seemed plenty of room (#22 I think), although staking down the tent in a graveled driveway didn't work well. Once daylight came, we noticed that the sites were far apart enough and the Cottonwoods/vegetation mostly blocked out the neighbors. Sites are very spacious. Some could fit 2 RVs side by side. Only 1 or 2 sites could access the river. Even then it was a side channel and not the South Fork of the Snake River. Either way, one could potentially launch a lightweight vessel here and float to one of the take outs. Just 0.25 mi from the campground (going back towards the highway) is barely a pull out where you can walk a bit to get views of the Falls of Fall Creek (Fall Creek Falls). This section of the Snake River is popular for drift boats and fishing. In the fall, the flow levels drop a bit and one could do an easy 2 day/1 night canoe trip. Didn't think to check my phone - this was before I knew about Campendium. I'd say here again, but I prefer the evergreen forests of Pine Creek Campground over the pass.
