Fairview Devil's Step Campground

The 4:00 check in time is very inconvenient, many of the sites are pretty sloped and close together. Also, many of the sites don’t actually have lake access even if you are right next to the it.
The campground is well laid out and easy to navigate for big rigs and there is a dump station on site. We didn’t use any of the other facilities. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit. We had 50 amp and water. There was also WiFi, but it was super slow.

Stayed 4 nights. Sites were a bit close together but not obnoxiously so and pads we’re paved despite this apps description. Some sites have sewer, some don’t. Basically, if the site is out on the peninsula, it doesn’t. Our site 14 had sewer, sat up a bit higher than the peninsula sites with a nice view of the lake. WiFi was adequate but spotty at times. Verizon/Spectrum Mobile reception was good. We got no TV channels at all on our antennae. Wife says the bath house was ‘Ok’. We think they rent kayaks but is was always hard to tell if the office was open, or closed for COVID precautions.

Arrived on Monday 6/26/17 at 2 pm, the check in station was closed so we proceeded to site 38 which was our reserved and paid for site. The sites from 36-40 are on a rise in the campground, so you are not able to walk right into the lake. But we were fine with that.
FYI---Sites 37-38-39 and 40 are quite close together. None of the sites here have sewer.
The boat launch ramp and parking area were very close by, very large and in excellent condition.
We did not use the bathhouse/rest rooms but they were centrally located in the campground.
The dump station was large and clean and in good working order.

The only complaint was the condition of the roads, they needed some serious repairs.

Tim's Ford Lake is absolutely beautiful and was a joy to fish and enjoy the natural resources!
