We booked this place way in advance for 4 days, but after two, we've decided to leave and take our loss. We should have known better than to book a huge resort complex, not our style. We've been on the road for 70 days and been in over 23 different campgrounds. This takes the cake as the most expensive and least appealing. With all the added fees, which include $40 resort fee, our daily total was $94 for the worst section of the park. On top of that, if you want to use the pools, it is an additional $19 a day per person, a discounted rate they said. There are some nice sites that are well-spaced and overlook the valley, but the majority of sites are crammed together parking lot style. Our row had the utilities on the passenger side in the middle of the site so we were tripping over hoses and cords. Additionally, there was little room to set up chairs. We were lucky no one was parked in the site next to us. We did have a view of the valley, but we had to overlook parking lots full of cars in nearly every direction. For the price, we expected much better.
Being as we had no desire to use the pools with the throngs of families, we found a very secluded Provincial Park nearby, though difficult to find, Lake Columbia. It is at the end of Columbia Lake Rd. just off Hwy. 93 as you enter the road to Fairmont Hot Springs Resort. There are a few kilometers of gravel after it goes through the golf course and then a quarter mile of gravel path to the lake front. We set up chairs and read and had a peaceful time. There are no facilities at all. B.C. is keeping this park a secret, which is not the case with Fairmont Hot Springs. We had cell service and off and on again Wi-Fi at the resort. Fortunately, though there are ttwo wildfires burning nearby, the air quality has not been bad.

We've only been here for a few hours and already I'm wondering what in the world possessed me to book 4 nights in this place. Granted, we'd never been here so how were we to know. We have been on the road for 70 days and been in 26 different campgrounds and this one takes the cake for being the most expensive and worst campground we've been in. On top of the exorbitant fee, you have to pay another $19 a day per person if you want to use the hot pools and that, they say, is a discounted rate because we are in their RV park. Our site is awful. The facilities are on the passenger side, which means you are tripping over your sewer, freshwater hose, and electrical cords right as you step out of your rig. There are other sites that are nicer but even more $$$. We have very little room to set up chairs and our view of the valley is over several parking lots full of cars. Our area is sparsely treed or there are dead ones. We are, however, grateful that the wildfires burning nearby have not impacted the air quality too much..so far. Of course, I have to blame myself for not thinking what the biggest outdoor hotsprings in Canada might be like, (throngs of people, screaming kids, etc.) but for the price I expected a better campsite. If my opinion changes in the next few days, I'll write another review but for now this is the worst place we've been. There is Wi-Fi.

Very nice campground! We got a spot way in the back next to a trailhead so it was very quiet and peaceful. The place was very clean and neat with great facilities including guest access to the hot springs mineral pools! Would definitely recommend a stay here.
Svan would stay here again

We were scouting the area as my husband had a tee time the following day at their golf course (nice by the way and the staff in the pro shop were very accommodating and pleasant). Anyway, I asked the pro shop gal if
They had parking for my motor home as we were just traveling through and needed a place to park during the round of golf (two hours by the way, the course was wide open). She sent us next door to their RV park thinking they could find me a parking spot. There is a deep, wide strip along the road that could fit 20 class As for parking and has a freight trailer currently parked at one end. I explained my situation to the older gentleman behind the counter (need a parking spot for a few hours while we golf at their course)
And was told in a condescending, brusk tone that “this was not a parking lot.” And “ we are full this weekend so we couldn’t rent a space either”. This was on a Wednesday. The park was not full.
When we first pulled in, both my husband and I commented that we wished we’d known the campground was here, next to the golf course, as it would have been a perfect fit for our travels. But I can safely say, while we may return to the golf course, we would never stay at the RV park no matter how convenient.
Anyway, the next day Mike at the pro-shop found us a spot to park our motor home while we golfed and he was very friendly about it. It wasn’t at the RV park.

We stayed in a Standard site. Sites are very close together with no space for an add-a-room or large awning especially if your neighbour has a slide out. All the picnic tables are on the wrong side and often your neighbour’s hook ups are right where you would be eating. Thankfully we were there early season and only half full otherwise it would have been a nightmare. Bathrooms are standard but clean. All sites have full hookups and WiFi. Most standard sites are on a gravel pad and not well delineated. More expensive sites are larger and on asphalt. Hot pools are excellent. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Weak cell signal from Rogers.

We are late in the season, most of the RV park is closed, this section is small and not really set up correctly as all services are on the wrong side of the RV. We pulled into a back-in site to compensate for this layout.
The Hot Springs are nice as well so are the other facilities.

The Standard section where we stayed is very tight. The couple that just pulled in next to us had to move the our picnic table to be able to extend their slide out. What makes the situation a bit murkier is that there is no real definition of “your site”, so people have a tendency to park a bit wonky making it difficult to maneuver. The Deluxe and Deluxe View are much larger with concrete pads in the lower levels. If we had known this we would have bad the extra $34CD a night for them.
The staff are friendly to deal with so that is great. The bathrooms and showers are very clean. The WiFi is usable and at certain times of the day you can stream video. Later in the evening it starts to get pretty busy and slows down. The Verizon cellular is one/two bars and works well enough for email and surfing.
The campground is in a nice location and it is a short easy walk to the main resort and the hot springs.
I would stay here again but would pay the extra money for an upgraded spot.
