Stopped on 6/4/23. One other camper here, 30/50 amp we did have an issue with the breaker on 30 amp kept breaking, switched to a dog bone 50-30 and didn’t have problems. Grass is mowed and for $25 it is a great deal. Might be an issue if it rains. 2 bars on ATT.

Grass was well mowed. Park was mostly clean. Seems like the locals come and load up the dumpsters when the staff isn’t around on Sunday. Multiple pickup trucks came to the dumpsters with their beds full of trash and filled the dumpsters in the afternoon.

This was a good place for an overnight stop with water/electric. As others noted, it's just a large and flat grass field with pedestals at regular intervals. ATT coverage was 4mbps down, less than 1 mbps up on my phone. It was 8/8 through my Pepwave Mobility 42G antenna. TMobile coverage was faster.

We had no problem situating our 38 ft Class-A rig without having to unhook our tow vehicle. The 50 Amp service with water was perfect for our needs. Good cell service for Verizon, AT&T and Sprint - being in the center of town. Very quiet location overall, some distant train noise but not really bothersome. We arrived on a holiday and the RV office was closed, so we put the money in an envelope and deposited it in the mail slot.

Easy to navigate for big rigs. The sites are flat but are all grass. Not a problem for us as it’s firm and not raining. No mud or signs of damage to any of the grass so I believe it’s tight packed ground. The office is behind the baseball field with and sign and drop slot underneath it. Has train noise in the distance but didn’t affect us.

We came in at night not knowing where the campsites were in this very large county fair and community complex. We saw about 10 campers along the side of one of the roads where there were 12 spots, so we pulled in there and camped for the night. In the morning after walking around we realized there were many, many other campsites that were spread out throughout the park. They are basically power pedestals and water Spicket‘s everywhere throughout the park, so you don’t necessarily have to just park where you see other RVs if you’re looking for some privacy.
It looks like the camp spots next to the Rusty wheel’s building are the only ones that have full hook ups, but the sewer connections are difficult to find, some of them actually being buried in dirt, which may have been due to the recent heavy rain that they’ve had here.
The park itself is totally fine, there are two playgrounds for kids, basketball courts, disc golf course, baseball field picnic shelters, and many buildings for Countyfair type activities (indoor arenas for horse shows, sheep pens, and auxiliary buildings).
There are dumpsters on the side of the livestock building toward the center of the park.
There is a dump station near the administrative building toward the back of the park, adjacent to a stage.
Cell signal was totally adequate on both AT&T and Verizon, with between 20 and 30 Mb down and between eight and 18 Mb up for both carriers.

We called and arrived after hours, we paid via a drop box. The rate was $25 for 50 amp electrical hook ups and water. There is a dump station which was easy to use. The camp ground was quiet with the exception of a couple of freight trains.

I'm guessing there is no park attendant during the weekend. When we left Monday at around 0800, the park office was open and we paid the office employee.
Oh yea, we noticed trains moving through the area all night long. So bring ear plugs or turn your fan on to drown out the train whistles.

“Felt unsafe. Moved on. ”
noted 3/30/2023
After a long days drive we found this city park in Hope. It is surrounded by an area of incredible poverty. Folks stared at us as we drove thru the neighborhood that led to the park. Cars with smashed windows.
Feeling totally unnerved we got back on I-30 and drove to Iron Mountain COE.

We arrived in hopes of spending one night here while traveling through. However, upon arrival and a quick drive through to preview the options, we left to stay elsewhere.
-Be advised that there are 2 sets of speed bumps on the road coming in, if you take the path that goes through the manufactured home neighborhood.
-Big rigs should know that the roads are very small. We arrived when an event was going on, making the center area near the bathrooms very cramped and many visitors park very much in the street, making for little room to pass by in a car, much less for an RV or TT.
-All spaces seem to be in grass, with no cement or rock pad options, making it very risky for anyone not towing with an AWD vehicle. It was raining when we arrived and each spot was either water logged or we were concerned we would sink into mud.
-Spots are spread throughout the park, with many being clustered very close together in a very odd layout and assortment.
-Check out the map online to find where the spaces are, as the area lacks signage.
