“Beautiful lakeside woodland spot”

Reviewed May 11, 2018

Overall Rating

Large spots, with woodland or lake views. Reserve a space, then choose your specific spot when you get there. Some of the access roads were a little narrow to navigate.
The many trails in the park were what we needed to stretch after 2 days on the road.

“Perfect campground for exploring Callaway Gardens and Warm Springs”

Reviewed Apr 23, 2017

Overall Rating

We loved this park. We camped here in April, 2017 in a 35 foot fifth wheel with 3 slides. Georgia state parks reservations are not site specific. After check in you can drive through the campground and choose a site that is the size you reserved. Check in at the Visitor's Center was quick and easy. We were visiting during spring bre... more

“Beautiful Wooded Park”

Reviewed May 24, 2015

Overall Rating

This was our second Georgia State Park, so we were familiar with the process, you reserve a site by size and/or hookups and you can choose an empty one, meeting those requirements, after you check in. Check in was easy and the clerk gave us an overview of which sites would be appropriate for our rig. We have a 38' fifth wheel and wer... more

I loved this state park even though it rained a majority of my time here. It is a beautiful wooded state park, many of the sites are spacious with trees in between sites. I was here in the late fall, so although the campground was not empty it was far from busy (just how I like it). I chose a site that was farther up the hill but t... more

“Huge Wooded Sites”

Reviewed Jan 03, 2015

Overall Rating

We absolutely loved this place. Huge wooded sites, and choose your own upon arrival. We ended up extending for 10 days, and got a lot of work caught up on – as well as explored the many trails in the park. The park was just the peaceful solitude we needed.
