Just as you enter the Ossian State Forest Canaseraga, NY 14822 on Scoville Rd there is a primitive camp site at the entrance to a logging road that is marked for authorized vehicles only. Great for pick up camping, tent camping, or smaller RV camping. I wouldn't bring a trailer up here, the roads are dirt and steep coming in off of 70. There is A LOT of private land that is posted in the area, but well marked - just be nice to the neighbors and stay on public land.

The pond had a walk in site around the back that was occupied, pull up a Google Image to get a better idea.

There's another spot at 42.499315, -77.834351 that I would only venture to with a 4x4. If it rains a 4x4 for sure. It's way back in and a good spot for the local kids to come drink and party, so maybe avoid it. From the map it looks like you can get there from England Hill Rd but there was a barrier up blocking the way.
