Overall Rating
We stayed here mid week in transit. It was deserted, but when we left, some friendly people were arriving to set up for the holiday weekend.
It is 15 miles up a windy road from Las Vegas.
The vault toilets closest to us had been vandalized and were dirty. There were lots of mice at night!

The USFS website said the area was open. I put the number in Google Maps and EV Long Campground came right up. I was approaching the spot on the offline map, and passed it. I went a few miles past it and found 2 picnic areas, both nice with vault toilets and no camping signs. I tried to see what led me wrong while there. No Verizon or Sprint signal to be found. No data, no cell. So, I had lunch by the stream and left. The road was horrible, not just washboards, craters. I wouldn't attempt it in anything other than a van or truck. My Caravan made it......mostly due to dumb luck. Going back over Google maps I don't recognize where I went wrong. Good Luck!
