This park does not currently have camping. I arrived last night to camp and the gate attendant informed me that they will have camping again in the future, but he did not say when that would be. He said they will be removing their horse set-up (maybe an old rodeo grounds or something like that), and will be putting a campground there. The park is beautiful and huge and the park hosts were so nice and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure I had a safe spot to spend the night, even though they don’t have camping. I hope I get a chance to camp here once it has camping in the future. Definitely call ahead. Don’t expect to camp here any time soon.

Previous reviewer was lucky to get a serviced site. Camped in Feb 2017 when all the serviced sites are occupied by worker-camp hosts. One full service site was empty when I checked in, but they save it for 'camp hosts' during the winter, apparently. All others were directed to pea gravel parking lot near rodeo arena to camp dry. It is a large lot, so finding a space is not a problem, and, the pea gravel is level and shows evidence of being raked regularly by the hosts. I did have to level with blocks because I parked off to the side where the parking lot slopes a little.
There is no water for people, but there is a horse trough with a spigot near the trailhead in the lower rodeo parking lot, near the only tree of any size in the lot. If you have a high end water filter this might work for you, otherwise there is a water fill station ($1.50-5 gal) at Hwy 85 & Litchfield convenience store. Be sure to go in with empty dump tanks as there is no dump station either. The one amenity you will get is access to trash barrels...lots of the all over the parking lot and grounds of the park. Camp hosts that I met were all extremely friendly and helpful.
The site was quiet except for some in trailers that ran generators after hours. The only annoyance I found was the park doesn't offer a weekly rate, where others (Ben Avery Shooting center $50/week) does. There are lots of trails to explore, but I was there for the golf course inside the park. I'm not so much a golfer, but wanted to get out in the sunshine. Green fees, rental clubs and cart for two was very reasonable. The weather and the course didn't disappoint. Club house had a small hot grill with breakfast if you don't feel like cooking.
The woodpecker is still there tapping away at the metal light posts?!(Morse Code?)
Good cell signals (phone & wifi hotspot) and TV signal from Phoenix.
Be advised- LOTS of coyotes in this park, many more than where I am in BLM right now. Heard them every nite just feet from the RV, probably attracted by trash cans with no lids (odors). Keep small dogs on a leash at all times! Camp hosts reported seeing them in the middle of the pea gravel parking lot daytime, not afraid of people.

We stayed here as we closed out the house and turned over the keys in June. The weather was incredibly hot. The site has full hookups and is located next to the rodeo arena. The FHU sites are NOT for equestrians only. We were the only people there, other than the camp host that is clearly a full-time, long term resident. Sites have no trees and thus no shade. If staying during a rodeo event, be forewarned your site will be less than private and expect others to tromp through it on the way to and from the arena.
The spots are well maintained, level and clean. However, they are extremely narrow to back into. The spots have concrete poured for the picnic bench and the outlet box which leaves a very narrow pathway to back the rig into. While The Gump fit in the space without an issue, the turning radius is very tight and would have been much more difficult had there been other people camped.
There was a surprising amount of wildlife in the area. Bunnies, coyotes, birds, and more were all easily identifiable. There was even the obligatory woodpecker who insisted on pecking the light pole.
In general, we wouldn't stay here again. However, it is close (right down the road from) family that lives in the area and thus, it beats sitting in Phoenix traffic. The office to pay (if the front gate isn't manned) is NOT accessible with your trailer attached. We had to unhook and drive back down to pay. The sheriff loops through the RV area four times a day, make of that what you will.

This park has seven large sites for RV's that offer electric and water hookups, and individual picnic tables and fire rings for a higher fee, but in winter they get booked up way in advance. There is also a full-scale rodeo arena that offers camping for equestrians.
We had the dry camping area to ourselves almost our entire stay. There was only one other RV that dry camped a couple of nights, so we had lots of privacy.
The group picnic area has covered picnic tables and restrooms. There are no showers in any of the camping areas. There was a large grassy area by the dry camping area where we could walk our doggie, but there were occasional goatheads (puncture weed), which were not as bad on the more well traveled paths.
There is lots of hiking in a beautiful desert setting and trails are mountain bike friendly as well (but watch for those goatheads).
The park is located in the Phoenix suburb of Goodyear on the West side of town, 40 or so minutes from downtown. There are grocery and other stores about ten minutes from the park. It is also very convenient to the Phoenix International Raceway.
