“Nice Campground, Busy With Trains”

We stayed here one night on our way down to the lower 48. It was convenient, large sites, and not many people in late September. The only negative was the train traffic which was quite frequent. There were plenty of spots we could have fit in with our 32 ft fifth wheel.

“Clean and Friendly ”

Overall Rating

We arrived around 3PM on the Friday of Labor Day weekend and found 2 of the 30-ish spots available. We grabbed site number 2 which was clean and decently level. The friendly ranger took our money and we walked to the river. The park has 3 river access trails. Several of the sites have river views but we arrived much too late to get one.
The railroad is across the river so its sound is well muffled.
Mosquitoes were not a problem on this day. There were a few yellow jackets, however.

We’d definitely camp here again if we were in the area.
