We stayed here for about two weeks in mid-December. It was hunting season so a few hunters came and went but it was mostly quiet with just one or two campers at a time while we were there. There are a few outbuildings in the camping area. They're used as storage by the forest service and by hunters to clean the deer. The roads leading in were mostly paved until the last couple miles of dirt road. Very easy to access though. When you first arrive, there are two large spaces on your left, both large enough for at least 30-foot campers and the outbuildings are on the right. A large open clearing is beyond that and the clearing has room for large rigs as well as little places for tent campers to tuck in. We chose to park near the outbuildings. They weren't the best scenery but the area was wide open and flat and gave us the best opportunity for solar.
There is one vault toilet and numerous water spigots in the camping area. We didn't use the water just because there is no mention of whether it is potable or not.
Highly recommend checking out the Santee Coastal Reserve nearby as well as Hampton Plantation.
