The restrooms are not the worst I've seen, but there are no windows or airflow. We never use the facilities, so I can't say much about them.
Most of the spots are pull-throughs, but power posts and water are shared. Since we were using the 50 A outlet, the people who pulled in next to us had to use the 30 A. Our post said the site had wi-fi, but I saw no directions. I imagine you call the city. When we arrived the water was on in the bathhouse but not the campsites. I called and they fixed it within a few hours.
The "lake" is really a wide part in a small river. They have a dam at one end. People kayak and fish in it. But there are trains nearby, the kind that screech at each street crossing. Luckily there are few at night.
The worst part of our stay wasn't the campground's fault. We're camping in western Kansas in April. The wind has been relentless. Verizon was 6.5 mbs down 5.5 mbs up.

Excellent location, amenities, and value! Only $20 off-season rate. No water hookup or shower building since still freezing at night, but we had electricity and Wi-Fi, although the Wi-Fi didn’t work well the next morning. Next to a nice river/lake. Easy pull-through sites. We dry camp most of the time, so this was a major treat for us as we were traveling long days through several states to get back home. Heard one train during the night, but otherwise very quiet. Only one other camper here in early March. We were at site 3, which is I had it to do again, I would choose a different site so the yard light didn’t come through our skylights and windows. But we have shade darkening blinds in our bedroom so it didn’t really bother us. A very nice stay and we were very pleased.

Open in the winter however the restrooms are closed. Only one other camper was there and we got a spot at 7pm but it was Thanksgiving.
Pretty quiet other than a train at 4am but not super loud.

Arrived about 6pm, two sites in the shady area were available. About 93 degrees so electricity for the AC was welcomed. Clean restrooms and showers. Great thing this town has done to make this available to travelers.

Also to note: It easily accommodated our tow vehicle, which is a full crew cab super duty and a 30’ Airstream. On the evening we stayed the cost was $25.

The small town of Ellis has got their act together to offer weary travelers a respite from the monotonous I-70 grind.
Situated right in the middle of Kansas between Denver and Kansas City, Ellis has turned its shady park into a pleasant stay.
Massive shade trees offer cool spots to pull any size RV under with AC and water. We have a 13’ tall camper and no low hanging branches.
All sites are level and pull through, though if you get there later in the day, not under shade trees.
An older building on site offers bathroom and showers as well as a dump site.
The campsite is 5 minutes off I-70, just before the quaint downtown begins, slight noise from the highway at night. There can be a freight train rumble through near to the campground, we experienced two. One at 10:30pm the other at 6:40am.

Nothing crazy just a clean quiet spot to park for the night. Many other campers and police patrolled through. Check the tickets in the empty spots, most sites said occupied but the tickets were expired. Great cell service ps not a lake.
