This is just a few minutes off I-70, I have all the Verizon I need, I'm parked on a charming lake in a charming small town, all for $20. I am used to dry camping for free as much as possible, but there's not much of that in this area, but for $20 I am getting electric and an impossibly lovely small town environment. I gave noise at 3 only because I can't objectively rate it today - 4th of July LOL

We stayed overnight in our 42 ft motor home with Jeep in tow. About 16 sites. first come-first serve, local police stopped by and introduced themselves, nice area to walk our four legged companion.

This was a great city-run park for an overnight stay while traveling I-70. It's less than a mile off the interstate (though the local roads in Ellis are old and bumpy for a motorhome) and easy to get to. There are 17 pull-through sites that vary in length with #1 about 100' long and sites gradually getting shorter as you continue down the road. Each has electric and water, and there's a dump station in the center of the park. Since it's a self-service park you pick your site, fill out a form, and drop your money in the box at the entrance. It's first-come first-served (no reservations), but since we arrived on a Monday afternoon in late September we had no problem finding a site. Many sites have 50 amp service, but after we parked we discovered that our site (#1) only had 30 amp, so be aware if you need 50 amp. Utilities are shared between adjacent sites, so you also need to pay attention to which direction you should pull in (alternating). Our site was very wide, and with the utilities arranged between sites our motorhome's electric cord just barely reached the pedestal. There's a train nearby with a loud horn but we only heard it rarely, and not overnight. The free WiFi was fast when it worked, but we often found it froze for 5-10 minutes at a time or kicked us off. We found it worked great as an overnight stop (if you can risk getting there and finding it full) and would gladly stay again, but we probably wouldn't do a longer stay. Both Verizon and AT&T worked well.
