Arrived at 6pm, mid Sept, and mid week, got last campsite along the river. There were others open in the back with no trees. Wonderful treed campsite along small lake right in town. $25 is rate for all campers for full hookups. $20 is off-season rate which starts sometime in Novembr. Definitely would stay again.

Overall a great overnight location, just off of 70. Plenty of sites available when we pulled in Friday night after dark.

We look to stay cheap went overnighting, but this one is not only a bargain, but a beautiful little side. Being first come first serve, we were fortunate to find a spot but would definitely come back again
Nice gravel sites with trees on the water side. Only occasional noise from trains... But we like trains!

We’ve stopped here before and did again on our trip through the area. This is a great, quiet, clean overnight stop in the town of Ellis, right on the river. First come, first serve for all sites. The campsites are all gravel/grass pull through and mostly level. The sites on the river are somewhat shaded. There are 10 additional sites with concrete pads but no shade. These sites are water and electric only. No one staffs the park so you put your money (cash or check) in a drop box right outside the bathhouse. The bathhouse is immaculately clean and kept shipshape by “Brad,” a helpful City of Ellis employee.

Nice quiet campground to spend the night on your travels. Felt safe as it is patrolled occasionally. $15 without hookups $25 with electric and water. All were pull through sites and the newer ones were paved. Not much to do in Ellis but it is a cute town and has a Dollar General in case you need to restock supplies.

We usually stop through Ellis on our way across Kansas to spend the night. This time we noticed nine new campsites they pull through on concrete pads with water, electric and picnic tables, as well as a fire pit. The area is always clean and quiet. However, there is a train that usually comes through during the night, pricing was $25 in season per night. There is a bathroom in shower house that is decent. The campsite is right along a small lake with a dock. There’s no swimming, but there is fishing.

Just barely south of I-25 is this quiet little camp ground. $25 per night gets up power and water on a level pull-through. Lots of open space for dogs to run. We did not try the showers but they were clean and well lit. A small train runs around the park.

Sites are spacious and set up so you are back to back with your neighbors on the utility side ( driver side) of your unit. This way you don’t step outside and look at your neighbors connections ( it would be great if all camp site would be this way especially when there are sewer connections)! Great little spot in a charming Kansas town!

The restrooms are not the worst I've seen, but there are no windows or airflow. We never use the facilities, so I can't say much about them.
Most of the spots are pull-throughs, but power posts and water are shared. Since we were using the 50 A outlet, the people who pulled in next to us had to use the 30 A. Our post said the site had wi-fi, but I saw no directions. I imagine you call the city. When we arrived the water was on in the bathhouse but not the campsites. I called and they fixed it within a few hours.
The "lake" is really a wide part in a small river. They have a dam at one end. People kayak and fish in it. But there are trains nearby, the kind that screech at each street crossing. Luckily there are few at night.
The worst part of our stay wasn't the campground's fault. We're camping in western Kansas in April. The wind has been relentless. Verizon was 6.5 mbs down 5.5 mbs up.
