May 13, 2019 Nice lakeside campground. We had choice of several campsite. All campsite have lakeside views. We felt safe and comfortable. Did not use bathroom or shower facilities so can’t speak to them. Each site has electric and water. Free dump near bathroom facilities. About a mile off I70 with lots of room and right on the water in the city park. Only one other RV there the night we were there. A real gem.

Wow, how nice of the town of Ellis to offer these sites. Only $20 in season. Water and electric, dump station. Easy access from I 70 , but quiet. If you have a motor home pull into an even number site from the street for a water view. Odd # sites the front of your rig will need to face the street side. Utilities are on a post between. ... more

We were fleeing west to find cooler temps, and stopped here for the night. It is right off of I 70, in a small town in Kansas. And it is beautiful! Right on a little pond they have dammed, and it has big gravel pull throughs. Right out my front window is the water. And we even have water hook up and 50 amp! There are maybe a dozen site... more

$20 in season, $15 off season. You can pay at the police station, city hall or at the self pay station. (NOTE: The envelopes and self pay receipts are under the lid of the rectangular sign to the right of the self pay station. It clearly states ENVELOPES and SELF PAY RECEIPT - just lift the lid.) Our small caravan pulled in here late at night after driving 20mph through a crazy Kansas I-70 thunderstorm. All the sites are pull-throughs with electric and water. There is a dump station by the bathhouse that is convenient to use on your way out. You pay by check or cash at the front Kiosk or by card at city hall. Our site had a vie... more

The water-view sites at Ellis Lakeside Campground were a welcome sight after a long day of driving through Kansas. There were 4 or 5 sites available to choose from when we arrived around 4:30 on a Saturday. By the time it was dark, there weren't any available and many late arrivals had to leave to find another place for the night. ... more

This is just a few minutes off I-70, I have all the Verizon I need, I'm parked on a charming lake in a charming small town, all for $20. I am used to dry camping for free as much as possible, but there's not much of that in this area, but for $20 I am getting electric and an impossibly lovely small town environment. This was a great city-run park for an overnight stay while traveling I-70. It's less than a mile off the interstate (though the local roads in Ellis are old and bumpy for a motorhome) and easy to get to.
