This state park has easy access to Lake Winnipesaukee which is a short walk from your site. The water is clear and nice to be in. The campground sites are spacious enough but have zero privacy from neighbors. There is no vegetation other than grass between the sites. Some sites have partial shade either morning shade or evening shade and some have no shade at all. Our site, 34, had evening shade starting around 4pm. We do not recommend this site to anyone who does not like others walking through your site. This site is right next to the access bridge to the swim beach/concessions. On the map it would look like its got good space from site 34 or space for people to find a more polite way to enter/exit the bridge, but it does not. People will be traipsing through all day.

Yucky bath house especially the showers where the floors were rotted and falling down. Laundry area only had one washer available with the other one being out of order. It did have 2 working dryers. I was surprised to have this with the high campground fees of $47 a night. They have a community fire pit and no fire rings at each site. No tents allowed. Campsites in direct sun with some relief of shade, depending on where it is, in the early morning or late afternoon.
The view is spectacular and the location is great. Restaurants and entertainment within driving distance and also biking and walking trails in a neighboring town. Walking distance to next door beach area which is wonderful with picnic tables, fire pits and a store.
Internet: Verizon had 1 bar and available only in the early morning hour estimate of 6am. Other than that it may have been overloaded tower. T-Mobile was great with 2 bar access.
