My wife and I are fairly new to camping and we're probably ruined now that we spent two nights at Elkcamp. We had an amazing experience that included a trip to Mt. Ranier NP. The campground is small and intimate but really beautiful and includes a great meadow for afternoon libations or stargazing at night. Tom and Brian are incredibly welcoming and were helpful with great recommendations for local flavor. Make sure you visit the camp store if you can. It was as nice a retail experience as any shop in any city. Highly recommend staying at Elkamp.

If you are looking for a campground near Mount Rainier National Park, we highly recommend Elkamp Eastcreek in Mineral, WA: about 15 miles from the Nisqually entrance. The campground is gorgeous, and the sites are large, quiet and private. We had site #10 and could only see one other RV while we were sitting outside, and one when we were inside. There is a lovely creek, walking paths and a beautiful meadow to enjoy. The owners are very welcoming and they have a cute store on the property. We would definitely stay here again, even if we were not going to Mount Rainier 😀

The setting is peaceful even though you’re surrounded by other campers you don’t really notice them because of the way the sites are set up. The owners are fantastic, they really make you feel welcome, Tom comes around in his cart about 6 in the evening to see if you need ice or firewood for the evening’s event. Bathrooms are clean, showers are great. There’s a great store on the property that has items made by local artists. Kid and pet friendly. Elkamp is truly a gem of a camp grounds.

We enjoyed our stay at ElKamp. The sites are spacious and the surroundings are gorgeous. The location is very near Mt Rainier. We really like that this is an intimate setting with 13 RV spaces and maybe 15 tent sites. The hosts, Tom and Brian, go out of their way to make you feel at home. We highly recommend ElKamp!

If it was full hookup, people would never leave. Owners will deliver firewood ($8) and ice each day at 4 pm. Gift shop contains a wide selection of higher-end souvenirs. Owner Tom is super helpful in pointing out all the local things to do. Sites are well-spaced in most places, partial hookup only, very shaded. Cell booster boosted us to 4 bars, but data wasn’t great. They’ve recently added Wi-Fi which was pretty decent, if spotty, until the crowds rolled in for the weekend. Overall, highly recommended. We’ll definitely return.

The two hosts that own it are incredible awesome individuals that will go out of their way to make your stay the best. This was our last stop on a 30 day tour of Washington. We enjoyed it so much we added an extra day to our already four day stay.. The store is a pleasure to walk through with so many unique gift ideas. We are heading home after a five day incredible stay. We will definitely be back here just for a place of total relaxation.

Great campground. Quiet, woodsy and clean. Short drive to the entrance of Mt. Rainier National Park. Sites were fairly private and large enough for our 28’ trailer. We will be back!

We initially planned to stay just one night but ended up staying for three! It's a small camp with both RV and tent sites. Felt more like camping than RVing which we loved. After a week of boondocking, a long hot shower and water/electrical hook ups felt like a luxury! Large meadow with trails mowed through it was great for walking our dog and lounging on their adirondack chairs with a glass of wine in the evenings. We went on a nice gravel bike ride, the camp is close to a large network of gravel roads through the National Forest, definitely more to explore on our next visit! Brian and Tom were great hosts. Brian brings his designer sense to the camp with really nice touches throughout. Don't miss a visit to their gift shop, really nicely curated! We stopped in Morton, WA on our way south, super cute little town, definitely worth a stop!

This was one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed in. Most other reviews tell about the beauty of the sites, surroundings and such, so I will concentrate on what we did not like about it. First, for $55 per night you only get water and electric, no sewer. I felt that was a little steep. Because we were trying to make our black tank last I choose to shower one evening in the bath house. The charge for the shower is one dollar for 6 minutes. Also steep. Make sure you bring quarters since there is no change machine. And it is not the nicest shower area. Concrete floor with no counter for your toiletries. I had to put mine on the trash can so I could access it. We did not meet Tom but Brian was very nice. Easy access to Mt Rainier NP. One reviewer claimed not close to stores and that is not true. The town of Elbe is 5 minutes away with gas station, restaurants etc. If you need a bigger town a little further is Morton to the south. We do not have kids that camp with us anymore, but if you have kids you may want to reconsider. There are no playgrounds, no pool, no game room. There is really nothing for kids to do. We liked that this campground was small, only 10 RV and 10 tent sites. Our site was spacious and nicely level. The picnic tables are the folding plastic ones which was nice since they can be easily cleaned unlike wood or concrete tables. There is no WiFi as of mid August 2021 and almost no cell service.
