Very pleasant experience, weather was perfect for the middle of May 2024. Brian and Tom really stay on top of everything, cannot think of anything they could have done to make it better.
The forest and trees are amazing, lots of trails to explore. Our dogs loved it.

Beautiful campground, we booked months in advance and unfortunately they have since been informed that their dump station is indefinitely closed. Since there are no sewer hookups on site, this made for a long period of time watching water usage very carefully (closest dump station is 10+ miles away). Additionally there is only 1 shower at the campground, and although very clean (and hot water!) they do charge $1.00 per 2 minutes - making water issues overall, an issue during our stay.
Would recommend staying, if it is short term as longer stays require too much water/sewer planning/management

Only thing I might add , maybe marking the site numbers better on some sites, ours did not have a marking that I saw. Others were marked just fine. Did look like they were doing some clean up of brush and perhaps adding more camp sites, maybe hadn't finished putting up site markers? Wish the creek had more water running so we could hear more, but that's our fault going so late in summer. Loved the meadow walk across the bridge, great place to relax in the Adirondacks. Sure glad we discovered this campground!!

Because their dump station was closed for repairs, they gave us to the only full hookup site in the campground. Very nice of them since all the rest are partial only or tent sites. There are two restrooms and one shower for the whole park, but it isn't that large so there never seemed to be anyone waiting. They do need to have a bench or some sort of seating in the shower room. The store they have is very upscale and lovely, but not really filled with anything you might need, just classy souvenirs. We had excellent Wi-Fi the first night, but after that it was sketchy at best and usually non-existent, at least at our site. The camp is in a fairly isolated spot, with a couple of very small towns a few miles away so best to come prepared. One complaint we had was that they keep the entrance gate closed but not locked. When we would leave at about 10 a.m. the gate would still be closed and you have to get out and open it, then shut it. Small issues but a bit of a bother. We felt that the gate should be open by 8 a.m. and stay open until around 8 p.m. Overall, Elkamp is a beautiful campground, one of the nicest private parks we've ever stayed at and we cannot hold them responsible for the weather. We would return, perhaps later in the summer when it might be drier. We did not have any cell service.

The hosts(owners) were very friendly and welcoming. They provided us with lots of site seeing information whether hiking or driving. Gave great suggestions for local restaurants and bars. We will stay here again when visiting Mount Rainier National Park.

The campground is small and intimate but really beautiful and includes a great meadow for afternoon libations or stargazing at night. Tom and Brian are incredibly welcoming and were helpful with great recommendations for local flavor. Make sure you visit the camp store if you can. It was as nice a retail experience as any shop in any city. Highly recommend staying at Elkamp.

The campground is gorgeous, and the sites are large, quiet and private. We had site #10 and could only see one other RV while we were sitting outside, and one when we were inside. There is a lovely creek, walking paths and a beautiful meadow to enjoy. The owners are very welcoming and they have a cute store on the property. We would definitely stay here again, even if we were not going to Mount Rainier 😀
