“Lovely lake, close to trails”
We camped here while exploring the Bend area. Great access for kayaking, canoeing, and hiking. Pacific Crest Trail one only mile from campground- access Trail across the street. Temps were great in Sept. campground was quiet during week- crowded on weekend. Locals reserve sites for weekends. There are a few first come first serve sites. Sites are close together so not much privacy when full. Don’t be confused by the Elk Lake Resort campground right next door. They have hookups, a restaurant and boat rentals but quite pricey and not a National Forest campground.
Carrie would stay here again
