We stayed here for a week. There are three roads into the campground off of the main road through town: the RV entrance is the middle road, with two check-in lanes.
The campground has two main sections. The northwestern section, where the office is located, has mostly back-in sites and a short row of 8 pull-through sites. All of the sites have gravel yards and gravel pads, with the exception of some premium back-in sites that have a concrete pad. All of the sites are bordered by shrubs and tall pine trees, which helps give a private feel to each site, and are open to the sky. The back-in sites have a picnic table, the pull-through sites do not. Our site was a back-in site (138) in this section, and although it was a blind-side back-in we had no trouble backing in because of the wide concrete roadway in front of the site.
The southeast section of the campground is downhill/lower than the northwest section. It also has a combination of standard pull-through sites and back-in sites, but also has three sets of "garden" pull-through sites where the sites surround a communal rock garden area. Most if not all of these sites also have gravel pads and yards and are open to the sky.
There are a number of amenities scattered throughout the park. The office building contains a small store (souvenir items and soda) and lounge area with a TV. There is a building with an outdoor seating area in the middle of the northwest section with a laundry room, restrooms, and a dog wash. There is a similar building in the southeast section, but with a TV lounge area instead of the dog wash. The southeast section is also home to a pickleball court, a horseshoe pit, and a multi-purpose event center, accessible by key cards you receive at check-in. The event center has an indoor pool, a fitness room, a room with two pool tables, an outdoor patio with BBQ grills, and a meeting room/ballroom with a podium, a large presentation screen, tables and chairs, and a dance floor area.
There are two enclosed dog parks: a small one next to the office building with a dusty gravel surface, and a large, two level park in-between the two park sections with a bench and several small trees. The large dog park receives light from a street lamp above the maintenance building next door. That street lamp is one of the few overhead lamps in the park, so on a clear night you can see a lot of stars.
In terms of cell service, the best bandwidth I saw on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna showed 8 Mbps down and 21 up, but while I had no trouble working during the day there were some evenings when the network was too congested to effectively stream video. The speed test I ran on my 5G AT&T smartphone showed 61 Mbps down and 13 up. I used the campground WiFi on two occasions when the Verizon connection was unusable, and saw 4 Mbps down and 1.5 up.
We would stay here again.

Well after driving 300 miles we were tired and just needed to get off the road, we pulled up to the gate the very nice young lady told us. We have to book on line, ugh. We pulled over and made a reservation through reserve America. We drove to our spot and right next store a family of 14 was partying, we drove right pass our spot and talked to the volunteer camp hosts. They said they have had several complaints on that group but, had no authority to do anything. We talked to the park ranger, same thing, so we pulled out and left. The thing is, keep a standard, enforce the rules and everyone could be happy.

Got a day use pass to the state parks so, most days, went to the lake for at least awhile. Easy day trips to Caballo Lake, Cholride/Winston, Very Large Array, Engle/Spaceport America, Monticello/Springtime Campground. Lots of geocaching opportunities in the area.
Lots of food and shopping in nearby Truth or Consequences. Recommend A&B Drive In for burgers and El Faro for breakfast burritos.

Contactless registration during Covid. Typical gravel RV lot but at least some greenery between lots (which are close together). Slow Internet. Better have rock solid plans: cancellation policy is stiff— 7 days if you want refund and $25 plus taxes for anything else.

Note the upper level are the better sites of this park.
It was pretty windy almost every afternoon

We stayed here for about 2 months - we love the Butte but we usually stay at the state park for $4/night or FREE. But it was getting REALLY cold at night so we decided to hook up to the pole - it was cheaper than purchasing propane every couple days.
The RV park is very nice. The laundry room is big and has a lot of machines (and they're clean). The showers are in the same building and they are clean also. This place is very well taken care of. There's a pool, a hot tub and a fitness center. Our neighbors were the best part of the RV park. We LOVE them! Everyone there was very friendly and so nice.
This park has a lot of RZRs and 4x4's which is one of the reasons we picked this park. We have a RZR so it was perfect for us. There are trails that start from the park.
Sites are level and decently spaced. However, a lot of the spots say "pull-through" -it's more like parallel parking. We had one of those sites. So if you're a little rusty at parking, perhaps check your site before you take your rig down.
Cell signal was GREAT for both AT&T and Verizon :)
The only con we have about this park is about their booking system. We booked from November to February but were told we had to move halfway through. We were fine with that... BUT here's the part that thoroughly ticked us off.. our spot became available after we booked it so instead of calling us to see if we wanted to stay in the same spot the entire time... they called one of our neighbors and asked him if he wanted our spot....
THEN! When it came time to move to our new spot... they booked that one to someone else also!!! The only spot left was a premium spot (for a couple hundred more than what we were paying) and they wouldn't work with us on the price... even though they messed up.
And this happened over and over again with several people. It was ridiculous! and their only answer was "I'm sorry, there's just nothing we can do."
So, overall the stay was good. The place is clean, easy to get to and the other RVers are fantastic. But, be careful booking a stay longer than a week.. they may give up your spot to someone else or just forget to book you at all!! - I'm sorry, there's just nothing they can do about it.

This is a great private RV park across the road from Elephant Butte Lake State Park.
50amp FHU with tons of amenities.
The laundromat is better than most private laundromats. 2 double washers, 10 single washers and plenty of dryers. They have an onsite private dog wash, an indoor heated pool, hot tub, games like corn hole, bocci ball, pickleball etc. The bathrooms are single, private rooms with showers. Everything was super clean and new.
The roads are newly paved and easy to navigate. The sites themselves are crushed gravel and level.
They offer a cable box for stays over 3 days. I chose to go with the OTA channels which were fine. Cell reception was good. Verizon 7d/l, ATT 19 d/l and the campground wifi was 12 d/l. I didn't try T mobile.
The staff was incredibly nice and efficient. They had my paperwork ready when I checked in and the total check in time was only 5 minutes but yet they still gave me plenty of information about the area and didn't seem rushed.
Across the road is Elephant Butte Lake State park with water activities and hiking. There's also plenty of shopping nearby with groceries, Walmart and other stores.
It's an easy location off the hwy but no road noise. Good walking spaces for dogs and 2 dog parks (small and large).
Overall one of the best ran private parks we've experienced. The only thing making it 4 stars vs 5 is the area itself isn't all that exciting to spend time in.
