Picture perfect location, about 10 miles from leavenworth, good flat pads, potable water.
Basic Campsite next to the river.
Kind of got 1 bar occasion from T-Mobile, somtimes when I left the phone overnight, mountains are pretty interesting for signals round there.

Our Camp Host Ed and his wife were absolutely wonderful. We showed up without a reservation and he seen the size of our rig and took us right to a spot that was open and we would fit. Campground was extremely clean and quiet. Would highly recommend

Stayed here for a couple of nights the first week of October. Camp site was paved and level. Our site was a back in and I would only choose one of these sites because the few pull ins your rig would sit right on the road.

We were between the two host sites, in a site intended for a co-host....looking at the back of one host camper and two sheds, complete with septic pumping into the ground and essentially a junkyard on the one side of us, electrical cord running through our site overhead. It was a "lovely" view from the fire pit. Not sure how they think it's okay to make that a reservable spot without seeing it first! Was not the out of doors experience we were after. Whatever you do don't pay over $100 for 2 nights for spot 18. We ended up going up to upper Johnny Creek instead...and paying again. --August 12, 2019

We had a good amount of rain a couple of days, so it kept the campground very quiet over a holiday weekend. The campground hosts were great and kept everything up well.
The campground is near several trailheads going up to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area. We hiked to three alpine lakes on this trip. There was a short level trail along the river toward the back of the campground that we enjoyed in the evenings.

You are completely surrounded by nature at this campground. We pulled in on a Saturday afternoon and managed to find the only first come first served site long enough for our truck and trailer. It had a nice huge fire pit far enough away from our trailer that we could extend our awning without fear of it getting singed. Not all campgrounds have fire pits at a safe distance.
It is a nice distance from Leavenworth, making it only 15 minutes or so to the downtown core. If you end up camping against the road, there is a lot more traffic than expected for a back road. Just keep that in mind, maybe bring ear plugs.
There aren't a lot of spots that will accommodate a longer trailer as well as the tow vehicle. If you have this campground as part of your plan, it's best to reserve a spot. If you're trying to wing it, it might be tough.
For some reason there are FOUR campground host sites... that cuts down on inventory a lot for people wanting to stay there. I'm not sure why they need that many hosts.

You won't get a signal for any television stations or satellite, as this Campground is heavily treed. Icicle Creek runs just next to this Campground. No dump station or sewer hook-up, but KOA in Leavenworth charges $10 for dumping at theirs. There are no showers, but the vault toilets are kept clean. Hiking and beauty everywhere! This area is truly a gem!
