We were looking for a spot close to the border crossing for a drive the next day across a bit of Ontario on the way to the UP of Michigan. Don’t recommend this place. A small, semi-wooded parcel on the banks of some muddy river in the plains of far northern NY. No privacy between campsites, a noisy road out front, and trashy campers who aren’t bothered as they walk back and forth across your campsite to the bathrooms. Seriously had folks within five or ten feet of our rig the entire twelve hours we were there. Bizarre behavior. As if no one in that area understands basic campground etiquette. Seriously just do yourself a favor and skip the bloated $20-$25 NY Parks fee for a blah, primitive site and just stay the night at a rest stop or Walmart.

Overall Rating
Beautiful treed State Park. Well-kept campground and lovely caretakers. Here’s info we couldn’t find out beforehand:
- water spigots every 3-4 campsites.
- 6 brand new bathrooms - each bathroom is a whole separate room with a toilet, sink, shower and change area. No stalls!
- small boat launch, but a few other places to launch a kayak or canoe in front of sites 6-11.
- no dump station, but there is one on the Canadian side at the Prescott Cdn tire for $15.00.
No electric, but sites 6-12 and 20-22 are great for solar. Site 9-11 are probably the best - super wide open and sun all day. Site 9 says 30’ but could easily fit out 40’. Site 8 would be great for a 30’ or less, and is waterfront.
Oswegatchie river - amazing for kayaking and boating. Super calm from the campground heading south. Shallow and faster heading north to the bridge.
** take the exit for the airport and follow Delaney rd to CR4 towards the campground. CR 6 is not in the best shape…
