Ranger and staff are extremely friendly. Campground bathrooms are acceptable....just showing some age. Most sites are a bit too close together. Bring your boat, kayak, or canoe. Several trails to bike or hike. Disc golf is available, too.

We came here after purchasing our travel trailer to spend our first week getting it set up and really enjoyed this park. It’s a great value at $18 a night for those over 55, I believe it’s $25 for others. The campsites were flat, a bit difficult to back into for a newbie like me, but manageable. The walks around the lake should not be missed, as I saw plenty of birds and fish. They don’t take reservations, but the week we were here in October. There were open sites available. there are several sites with 50 amp connections and all have 30 amp as well

No reservations are taken. There are 42 sites and it probably fills up sometimes. This weekend there were some empty sites.

We stayed here for two nights. All sites are first come first served. I called ahead of time to see if they have any openings so we headed there. Check in was easy, right at the camp entrance and the rangers are very friendly. Lots of improved roads to ride bikes. The sites are shady with some vegetation in between sites, but you can still see your neighbors. Although, when we stayed there, every other site was empty for distancing. There was also kayak rentals but I saw alligators so we opted not to do this activity. This park is also a short drive to a Walmart.

We stayed here during the 2020 Tampa RV show, which was less than 30 minutes from this campground. The sites are nice, staff is incredibly helpful/friendly, and there's beautiful wildlife viewing on the adjacent lake.

Very good parc. Friendly staff. Lot of place to walk with your dogs in Nature Trail. Boat ramp (or kayak) available. Camping Site huge with fire ring, electricity (20 or 30 Amp) and water. Not to far from Tampa (35 min) or St Peterburg (1h15) if you want to go to visit.
