Site 91 is a little close to the main road so you do hear some road traffic outside. Otherwise, we loved our stay at Edisto. It was a relatively private spot and for a couple of the days, we only had one neighbor. Nice walking trails and, even from the Live Oak Campground, the beach and local restaurants are within walking distance. Th... more

....only bc it’s my favorite campground in The Carolinas and I don’t want to blow it up. You might get some bad luck with a Georgia redneck weekender dumping his grey water in the marsh but the private beach makes up for it. Walk up the mile to a local fishing hole with plenty of old men telling lies and drinking beer in their golf ca... more

This campground ended up being more than we expected. Here are the key facts about our experience: 50 amp and water only; no sewer. Dump station is outside of the campground, but nearby. Keep that in mind if you are using a portable dump device. Cell signal with Verizon and GoogleFi (T-Mobile) was weak and mostly unusable. We had... more

...for privacy anyway. Which is paramount to us at least. We were in the live oak loop, and got the last site available on a Monday night in November. 80% of the sites are shrouded in pines and palms, thick enough to completely obscure your view of the next guy. Silence fell over the place like a Tibetan monastery as far as our camp... more

We stayed in the live oak campground and not the beach campground. Our site was surrounded by trees, vines and shrubs and was pretty secluded considering the sites are so close together. Due to the seclusion, mosquitoes were rampant so bring plenty of bug spray. Overall, it was quiet and peaceful. Less than a three minute drive... more

We stayed in Live Oak Campground. Bring lots of bug spray. Tight turns and some low hanging branches in the campground. We din't have any problems with are 35 foot class C. Some of the 5th wheels had to move slowly and drive the wrong way in order to back into their sites. The beach campground was easier to move around. This one also... more
