Just off the Interstate and easy to get to. Campground at the very back; drive past arenas to get to. Call before you come. They are closed during certain big events like the annual fair.
Bonnie was very nice and comes around to collect fee in the evenings. ($20.00/night included water/electric. Dump station near fairgrounds entrance).
Wooded with huge trees. Awesome shade. Very quiet. You can pick the site you want. Only 4 or 5 other campers when we were here. We stayed 3 nights. MUCH better than a certain campground further in Lansing. Will definitely come back!!
Debbie W. would stay here again

Pros: pretty, lots of trees, lots of open spots even on Independence Day weekend, close to the interstate, has partial hook ups. It looks like every other site has 30 amp, then the one on the same pole has 20 amp.
Cons: lots of road noise, train not too far off, and the water tastes bad. There was also a person prowling around the camp ground, up close to our camper in the night. We put the bikes inside at night and made sure everything was locked up. There's no host staying on site, she just comes by in the evening.
But it was Independence Day weekend, and had no reservations while traveling through, and this had mostly open spots. The clerk said there were 300 sites, but I don't think that is true, at least not that we saw. Maybe there are more somewhere else. There looks to be about 80 here.
