“Great small county park”

Reviewed 5/7/2019

Days stayed: 30
Overall Rating

This small county park is well maintained. Bathrooms and shower houses are rough, but you have full hook ups and shady sites. Popular with snowbirds, the park is usually fully reserved January through March. The campground is adjacent to a railroad track servicing AMTRAK and a commuter train (TRI-RAIL), which runs once per hour in each direction until 10:00 pm. We’ve stayed here on several extended stays (2006-2016) before we moved to the area full time. Close to Fort Lauderdale and beaches.

“Great park near Ft. Lauderdale ”

We were headed to a concert at The Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale and discovered this great park! Highly recommend a stop if you are into disk golf since they have an amazing 18 hole course. Also nearby is Funky Buddah Brewery which is worth a try after your round of disk golf. Sites can get a little tight but most seem level and surrounded with trees. Noise level is for stars since the Amtrak does run nearby pretty often during the day. Enjoy!
