We stayed a week night early May on our return to MN from Arkansas. This was a very convenient county park, easy access, very quiet. A nice walk around area. We didn’t unhitch, so very easy stay, wide open spots. It was a windy night on the hill, but ok as we were just resting. Nice playground equipment if you have kids. Price a little... more
We stayed a week night early May on our return to MN from Arkansas. This was a very convenient county park, easy access, very quiet. A nice walk around area. We didn’t unhitch, so very easy stay, wide open spots. It was a windy night on the hill, but ok as we were just resting. Nice playground equipment if you have kids. Price a little much for just a county park, but given the convenience and the nice park that I imagine is well used in the summer, we were happy to support it.

It's first come first serve but that was not a problem for a Saturday in May. The park has a small lake, several play aareas, a soccer field, basketball court, lookout tower, lots of picnic areas and more. The sites are large and level and most I see have electric and water. The showers/restroomsare really clean and well maintained.
There is a train nearby but from. Our site we have not heard a thing.

Small, clean campground in a nice county park. There are several playgrounds, horseshoe pits, volleyball court and picnic pavilion in the park. Small, clean campground in a nice county park. There are several playgrounds, horseshoe pits, volleyball court and picnic pavilion in the park. A great walking trail system is in the woods behind the campground.
The bathrooms were out of order while we were there, since we were there in late March, a little outside of their normal camping season. Staff called ahead of time to make sure this was ok.
