“Looked nice but closed for season post Labor Day weekend”

The campground was already closed up for the season but I did take a quick walk through to survey the area. Shady sites and well-spaced along the gravel road and parking pads. The road in had a few larger potholes. Camp is set back from the main FS road so dust and noise shouldn't be much of an issue. Basic Forest Service camp amenities of a table, fire ring, and vault toilets. Garbage service and water pump also available in season. There is a lot of willows and marshy areas surrounding the camp so I do think mosquitoes would be an issue in the summer. Access would be difficult for most rigs but the locals find a way...the only road in from Big Horn, WY is a single lane dirt road with lots of steep grades, tight turns, rocky and washed out areas. 20 miles or so. Would be a challenge for experienced campers to make the trek. The approach from the West and Highway 14 / FS 26 isn't much better...30 miles of steep two-lane highway and another 30 of narrow, windy dirt roads.
Nice camp overall but a little pricy for a basic FS camp and really out of the way to get to. Scout the area first without your camper and make sure you know what you're getting into!
