Overall Rating
Before crossing over Fremont Pass north of Leadville the East Fork of the Arkansas River meanders along highway 91. This camping area would make a scenic overnight stop next to the River.
As this site is directly off highway 91 please note that the entrance is a bit rutted so as not to take it too fast when exiting the pavement. It is clearly marked by bolders leading to a small rise in the river valley. The only turn around is at the single site itself, which I would not recommend for any trailer larger than about 20 feet. Please scout prior to entering with a trailer as backing onto 91 is not advisable.
The site had 3 bars of Verizon 4G with 70 megabit download and 2 megabit upload. The area, do to its location, does receive quite a bit of road noise.
