We drove our 35' 5th wheel in and turned around to camp in the first wide spot off the main road. I would not recommend bringing anything bigger down the road further. The road in is rocky and requires high clearance and /or 4 WD. There are a couple of spots further in that would be nice if you have the clearance. Furthest spot in, you should have 4WD. All that being said, it's a nice spot for an overnight stop. We were traveling through and didn't need hookups so this spot works. It's far enough away from anything that the stars should be great! There is a for pay campground further down the road but we opted to be here for the privacy. You can get a big rig in the campground down further.

I was the third & last tent camper to arrive for the night. Everyone was quiet. The traffic on I-40 could be heard in the distance, though only loudly enough to be noticed at all. The campground has a dumpster for trash and each site has a picnic table (no cover) & a fire ring. A dusk-to-dawn light across the lake and the marker lights on the distant wind turbines prevented the night from being fully dark. I came away with a solid, undisturbed night's sleep.
