East Allen Lake Public Access Dispersed Camping

Certainly not the most scenic, in terms of what Wyoming has to offer. But if you're passing through this area anyway, 2 miles on a dirt road will get you some privacy, peace, and perhaps pronghorn deer. They righted the outhouse from its previously reported fallen horizontal condition. I don't notice any bad smells. I mean from the place in general. Nobody here but me a day after July 4. Have good reception with both Verizon and T-Mobile.

I arrived here expecting to just stay one night, almost 2 miles on dirt road (not too bad) to get here and there is literally a small circle that used to surround the outhouse. If you're a 4-wheel rig you can easily park on the hillside above the lake where the ground cover is sparse and you still get the view. I could not do that and had to park on the small circle where, maybe, one other rig could fit. Good luck trying to find a somewhat level space. My 2 front wheels are off the ground!

The smell from the toppled-over outhouse reeks, I had to close all my windows on the lake side just to be able to stand it.

All in all, not worth the drive out here. Too bad because the cell service out here is outstanding.
