“Sweet smaller park, well located with friendly and helpful staff”

Overall Rating

Buff and Francis are terrific hosts in this smaller but well located park on a hill. Very quiet since most of the sites are for permanent residents. Some sites have nice views overlooking the Alexander Valley. While our site had thick brush behind us, pleasant walks within the park afforded views of the surrounding wine country. Our site was gravel with a septic outlet that was placed nearly as high as the tank and therefore unusable to a low slung Airstream, but it was not a problem to utilize another site before we left as a dump station. Most other sites had well organized pads and services. There seemed to be only about 10 sites for non-permanent trailers. The steep road was not difficult for us or for several other much larger rigs. Nice pool as an amenity.

Buff and Francis were pleasant hosts and extremely helpful to newbie RV'ers such as ourselves. When my power jack failed, Buff showed me a very clever workaround of tin foil to restore the function of the fuse. The trick was worth the slight delay in figuring out the problem. If you want to be near Healdsburg or Cloverdale, this is an excellent choice.

“Hilltop Rv'ing”

Reviewed Apr 04, 2015

Overall Rating

There are only about 9 sites available for short term rental. About half have concrete pads. Ours, probably usually reserved for the park manager, was just awesome! The others range from good to great. Traveling with a friend? One very large, beautiful buddy site is available. The challenge to this park is the relatively steep switchback road to it. We elected to disconnect the dinghy. Next time we will do that in front of MGM brake, next to the Shell station at the next offramp north. Also, our rig is very tall. Navigating thru the trees in & out of the neighborhood leading to the park as carefully as I could, I still made contact with a few branches. As long as the coach wasn't damaged (and it was not), it was worth it. We found a lot to do in the area but mostly enjoyed just staying at this beautiful site. Nothing for kids to do here, but it is a great place for adults to spend time just sitting around the rig soaking up the beautiful, quiet scenery. Very nice park managers.

Tip - For a first time visit, if in a motorhome, take the dinghy up first to sign in. This will reassure you that the initially intimidating hill is very manageable.
