Dry Creek Water Park

We arrived after dark on a Wednesday with no reservation and no attendant (it was after 5pm). We had some problems navigating through area due to darkness. Could hardly see gravel path, let alone see the individual campsite. Walking outside with flashlight in front of rv helped but we did have to disconnect our toad. There were some pull thru sites but already occupied.
30/50 amp, water, sewer at our site. No picnic table, but nice fire ring. Placed it we just should’ve showed up before it got dark.
Honor system since kiosk was closed. Price was $26.75 but we only had $26 in cash (other than $100 bills). So we wrote a note apologizing and asked for a senior discount 😜
We would stay again if we could arrive before dark.

Stayed here earlier this year, and decided to go back since it's off the main road and much cleaner than other sites in the area. Quiet, clean, and situated on a lovely reservoir lake. Safe and quiet, two of the most important things for me. Manager is friendly and accommodating. I have stopped by the other sites off the main route and found them to be much less appealing due to the long-term users.

Stopped here after dark after stopping by two other spots along the way heading south towards Mobile. One water park along the same corridor was filled with dead cars and some pretty derelict older campers, and creepy looking, and the second stop was closed. I was hesitant about driving 4 miles off the main drag to find this place after dark. I didn't see a price on the honor pay envelope when I arrived, and the office was closed, but the camp host politely knocked on the door once I was setup and we agreed to settle up in the morning. The next morning, I awoke to a beautiful spot on the lake, with just a few other campers. The place was immaculate, felt very safe (important because I was camping alone), and had full hookups but felt like I was in a nice state park. The park host was super polite, very accommodating and even offered me some coffee when I was checking out the next day. Highly recommended for a very quiet and safe spot off of 49 North of Hattiesburg.

We were traveling on Christmas Day and didn’t know if there would be anyone available to check in without reservations but we took our chances and so glad we did. A nice wooded park on a lake several miles away from interstate but not too far. Perfect for an overnight stop. We got a big pull thru site that was level and easy to get into.
