Spot proved fairly level once backed in; we needed only minor adjustments. After that it was pure peace and quiet. Site was clean and orderly with fire-pit and picnic table. Bathroom nearby was clean although in need of updates. Lake views were beautiful. Lots of birds, fish and turtles. Night sky was decent for stargazing. We arrived on a Sunday. Most of the campers headed out Monday morning leaving only a sparse smattering of campers throughout the week.

Very well maintained park. Easy in and out once you get to the park, a bit remote to access though. Decent cell coverage (Verizon). Fire rings were a bit cumbersome and not level. Only compliant was that the electric box and water were at the end near the road and we ended up having to reposition the RV in order for the cord to reach.

Beautiful campground, our site #89 was right on the water and when the water is low enough you can bring your folding chairs right out to the shoreline. #89 is also directly across the bathhouse which is old but seems clean and water was hot. We had decent signal with Verizon and able to stream the football games. So peaceful and quiet in early November and not too crowded. Our site had water and electric and there is a dump station on the way out. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for 3 nights in December, 2021. Weren't really sure where our site was (had booked it a bit ahead of time), but Jacob the maintenance supervisor stopped us on the road and directed us to our site - nice guy! Our site was long enough and level enough. Some of the interior sites on the loop didn't look very level and I am still wondering how the giant, and I mean giant 5th wheel in site #1 was able to get out of the site. The trees were right next to it - would not recommend a really large RV to take that site...
We did drive down to the larger campground at the end of the road - loads of sites, but many right on top of each other. A bit too close for us. We were happy in the site we had! Also, a great place to base from to visit Congaree National Park!

Big rigs are welcome. There was a 45 footer a few sites across from us.

Nice campground, We had a it’s on the outside on the lake. Our site was VERY steep sloped tp the lake and all the pads were very narrow with some side drop off. The second night I hooked the trailer safety chains to the truck. I slept better. All of the sites weren’t quite as steep. There were hikes that could be done from the park.
