What every basic campground should be, and.... sites are mostly private, wooded, clean, and some on the river. Rv, tent, car camping. Fire pits, pullouts, picnic tables, bear boxes, river access. Safe for families. Cell worked.

We were here in July and we survived the extreme heat (96-113F) by dipping in the freezing river waters, tubing, picking blackberries and going for drives to the neighboring town (7 miles) Weaverville for running errands, food shopping, filling up water jugs, getting ice. We were here in July and we survived the extreme heat (96-113F) by dipping in the freezing river waters, tubing, picking blackberries and going for drives to the neighboring town (7 miles) Weaverville for running errands, food shopping, filling up water jugs, getting ice.
Most sites are well distanced from one another and shaded, except for sites 20&22. Our last day here was when the fires just started nearby.
Gorgeous experience despite the intense heat, the forest is gorgeous and the running water, sinks and toilets were great!
The camp host Shanee is really helpful, switched on, we saw what she had to deal with so she did an amazing job! Friendly people all around.

I don’t understand why it’s so cheap! $10! Asphalt parking spots with bears box and fire pit for each site. Bathrooms and showers. Wood is $5 for a huge amount! This should be $50 a night. Right on the river
