CONS Neither the manager nor the host enforced the rules. There was a tent site with about 10 college kids on it playing music well into the night and dogs were running around without leashes. Cell signal only 1 bar for ATT.

This is a great, beautiful little park. We enjoyed the numerous trails for walking and riding. We will definitely return.

They then charge $10 extra to have water and electric, $12 extra for full hook-ups (W,E,S). We have stayed in USFS campground which were better maintained and discounted 1/2 off the total camping fee that includes water at the site. The only fairly level sites were those with full hook-ups; otherwise, the sites were pretty wonky. The restrooms are also in dire need of updating.

It is muggy during some parts of the year and there is hunting also. We have never spent the night because we lived just down the road. Horse trails abound, hike, bike, fish....everything. Coldspring is to the north and Cleveland is to the south for shopping. Cleveland does have a Walmart located beside Hwy 59.
Mosquito spray is crucial.
The camp area itself is quite far off the main road. Small pond for fishing and restrooms. I don't recall showers but you can call the forest service.
Have fun!
